Frequently Asked Questions
A practical guide to our price list, PC Builder, orders and payment options.
Why do online orders use bank transfer?
Card processing fees cost a shop around 2% of every sale. Instead of paying that to a payment processor, we pass it back to you: online checkout uses bank transfer and automatically takes 2% off.
The discount appears in your cart and covers products, warranty, build-time options and delivery. Pay the final total shown and don't deduct another 2%. Your statutory consumer rights still apply. Bank transfers don't carry the same chargeback process as card payments.
How do I use the daily price list?
Open the Daily Price List from the top bar or the Components menu. Search by product name, model or part number, then narrow results by category and brand and sort by price. "Clear filters" starts a fresh search.
Prices are in euro and include Irish VAT. The list is a supplier snapshot, normally refreshed daily. It isn't a live reservation or a list of everything on our shelves.
What does low stock mean? Can I get a part today?
Amber quantities mean five or fewer units in the supplier snapshot. Availability can change between updates, and adding an item to your cart doesn't reserve it. We check stock before accepting an order and won't substitute anything without your agreement.
Need something today? Call the shop. We carry local stock that may not appear on the list. Daily-list items are usually ready in 3–8 business days after cleared payment.
How do I use the PC Builder?
Pick a platform, then work through each component. We pre-fill a sensible starting build that you can change. Compatibility messages flag socket, memory and power-supply issues as you go. Choose a warranty and build time, then check "Your build, at a glance".
Select "Add to cart" to buy, or "Send to our sales team" if you'd like us to review it first.
Does "Send to our sales team" place an order?
No. It sends your proposed build and contact details to our team for advice or a quote. It doesn't place an order or reserve stock. "Save build summary" downloads a copy for your records.
How do I pay for an online order?
- Add products or a completed build to your cart.
- Choose collection or delivery and review the total, including the 2% saving.
- Continue to checkout and enter your details.
- Place the order. It's saved as "awaiting bank transfer".
- Transfer the exact total using your order number as the reference.
- We match your payment, check availability and confirm next steps.
Placing the order doesn't debit your account. An automatic acknowledgement isn't confirmation that stock is reserved or funds have arrived.
What if I used the wrong reference or amount?
Email hello@liffeyrigs.ie with your order number, payment date, payer name and amount and we'll trace it. Never send us your online-banking password or codes. If you're ever asked to change our bank details, call our published number to check first.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, in person at our Dublin shop, with the cardholder and physical card present. We can't take card payments by phone or online. Online checkout is bank transfer only, and PayPal and instalments aren't available.
How much are collection and delivery?
Collection from the workshop is free. Insured courier delivery is €30, and hand delivery in our own van (including setup on your desk) is €179, both before the 2% discount. Delivery is within the Republic of Ireland. Contact us first if you have special requirements.
When will my PC be ready?
Standard custom builds take 5–7 business days after cleared payment and order acceptance, depending on parts. Priority builds take 2 business days. Express Builds are often ready sooner, so ask us to confirm before you travel.
Can I return an online purchase or report a fault?
For eligible online purchases you normally have 14 days from receipt to tell us you want to cancel, then 14 days to return the goods. Faulty or misdescribed goods are covered by your statutory rights, separately from any manufacturer warranty. Contact us with your order number before sending anything back. See our Returns Policy.
